When you join from a mobile device, you can only hear the meeting audio and see the video of other participants (if it’s being shown). Lync 6 Version 3 includes 6 audio inputs for sources located at the central location, including one with an optical audio input coupled with a built-in high-end DAC (digital-to-analog converter). You can also add video to an existing instant messaging conversation. Simply click the camera icon in the window to start your video. If you have to leave a Lync Meeting temporarily, or get disconnected for any reason, you can rejoin it by clicking the Rejoin button in the notification message or the conversations screen.
Combined with audio or video conferencing, the result is a highly immersive and collaborative session that is simple to facilitate. Lync Server provides a user experience that is familiar to users of traditional audio bridge services including PSTN dial-in services with touch-tone call control commands.
