Intact Family Services ensures the safety and well-being of children, without the need for removal and out-of-home placement, by providing families with needed in-home services. The goal is to see the overall number of children in substitute care continue to decrease slowly over time. It is designed to assist families who have been reported to DCFS for concerns of abuse or neglect. LYDIA Staff ensures the child’s development, safety and well-being by strengthening and supporting families, empowering kids exposed to trauma to believe in a brighter tomorrow.

Provides court testimony related to services provided to clients as required. Informs the supervisor of any legal issues related to agency services. Work with counseling center to establish and onboard new insurance companies upon which we can accept patients and submit claims. Must be willing and able to support the missions of Lydia Home Association (“LHA”) and Safe Families for Children Alliance (“SFA”).
The youth reside at LYDIA Home and are provided with a structured living environment in addition to mental health treatment that focuses on skill-building, regulation, and recovery from the trauma/neglect they endured. • Develops and implements service plans, in collaboration with the client’s family, in accordance with the Intact Family Services plan. Directs implementation of client services and treatment goals. Makes referrals to community service providers to address issues such as housing, mental health, substance abuse treatment, or domestic violence. Complete assigned documents required for governing and accrediting bodies, showing service provision, and transition planning/discharge. Ensure the finalized plans are communicated to the necessary parties verbally and in writing. Assist with preparation for these meetings and attend, as necessary. Meet weekly with supervisees, providing individual and group supervision to the team. Provide clinical supervision to staff providing case management, education, and aftercare/visiting services. LYDIA goes above and beyond, working with DCFS, the natural family, and the foster family to ensure that children receive the care they need until the hopeful goal is achieved of seeing families reunited. I used to go spend time there as a child and lead holiday games with the residents. I remember it being a higher security building because of the number of younger patients there.
Must be a qualified mental health professional and have a master’s degree or doctoral level degree from an accredited school of psychology or social work or an equivalent degree in a human services field. Must possess skills to work effectively with children and their families. Must demonstrate good writing and social skills in order to communicate and work cooperatively with members of the child care team and the various systems and agencies in the community.
